GBatteries started in March 2012 inside a basement lab, where Nick and Tim built the first ActiveBMS prototype using a relay switch and a desktop computer.
After being funded by top-tier Silicon Valley investors, GBatteries shipped the first BatteryBox in December 2014. This enabled us to deploy tens of thousands of batteries powered by ActiveBMS. Having sold units in over 38 countries, GBatteries successfully field-tested the first generation of the technology in real world conditions.
Our team of multi-disciplinary inventors and leaders live to solve problems that truly matter. We're on a mission to free the world from limitations, one battery at a time.
Invented and launched global industry standard for fast battery charging in mobile devices - Qualcomm QuickCharge - shipping in billions of devices.
